Today, I had an afternoon of bonding at Talbots with our newest NonSociety contributor Miss Jordan Reid. Both Jordan and I have never been to Talbots, so when I found out that they were doing blogger outreach, I decided it would be worth meeting up to see 1) if Talbots had hip attire for the modern young woman and 2) If Jordan is really as smart a shopper as I think she is.
I’ve been absolutely obsessed with Jordan’s effortless style, so what better way to put her eye to the test than to have her pick out outfits she thinks really make a statement. Talbots had a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from, many of which were great staples. Talbots also had pieces that were just plain cozy- ready for the winter months or easily paired to make a classic piece look hip. One of the first items we both fell for were these plaid capes, great to wear over jeans or a little black dress. I can’t remember the last time I wore something so unique. Who knew a cape could be so much fun?
With that, I’ll leave you to check out our in-store Talbots shopping experience (video to follow), so you can see if there’s anything you may need to add to your new fall wardrobe. Talbots is also giving away gift cards through a number of women-centric blogs (contest rules). If you’d like to see more of what Talbots has to offer check out their newly launched site RedChairConfessions.com.
Disclosure: Talbots did not pay any of us to write about their product. We were simply given gift cards to test out their clothing. For the future I want my readers to know that product integrated posts will be highlighted differently on the blog, so there’s no confusion. Transparency is key and we aim to provide that to our audience. Thank you for your patience.
