Tonight, I had the opportunity to embark on my all time favorite activity in the city, watching a singer friend at the Blue Note Jazz Club. For your listening pleasure (that is, until my video was confiscated), I bring you the smooth sounds of The Duke Ellington Band. I must admit my crush on the 60 year-old pianist that played the entire set by ear (AMAZING!!!). In another life, I’d like to come back as a jazz singer wearing a bright red dress scatting renditions like Ella Fitzgerald. A girl can dream, right?
