Politics4All: Very rarely do I spend a lot of time on social networks, so I couldn’t help being surprised at how much time I spent on this new political social network called Politics4All. I spent a FULL HOUR today clicking around the site thinking of the effect that a social network could have on politics. Can you imagine if individuals could specifically find their niche groups and participate in activities aiding their cause? This form of collaboration is what our country was built on; so having the opportunity to work with others (that you may not have found otherwise) through a social network could speed up the process and more importantly empower users to take action.
Politics4All is not only geared towards national campaigns, one of its best features is allowing you to get updates on local political activity. Nationally, there are only a few hundred officials elected, but locally there are more than 400,000 officials elected both state and countywide. Politics4All combines a variety of different functions to envelop users (i.e. volunteering, campaign tracking, fundraising, and a real-time meeting and debate forum). If you’re interested in a network that can activate political collaboration, Politics4All fits the bill.
