Last Friday, I had the pleasure to interview Ari Greenberg from Baveo. Ari came up with the most intriguing idea, to create a social network for expecting parents. As you can see from the screenshot above, this little site takes all the information that expected parents want to record and makes it interactive by creating a real-time specialized blogging network. One of the most appealing aspects of Baveo is its potential linkage to a baby gift registry. Baveo has the opportunity of doing what The Knot did for brides, parlaying that into the baby circuit complete with a baby blog that’s easy to use and grandparent friendly.
When I asked Ari what a cute nice single Jewish boy is doing creating a site for babies and parents. Ari said he launched Baveo to help a friend who was expecting a child and wanted to blog about it to keep their long distance relatives abreast of the new addition. Some great ideas simply come from finding a problem that hasn’t been solved. Bravo for Baveo, I think this network is a true give to those of us whom have families far away.
UPDATE: I’m mistaken about Ari being single, sorry ladies he’s had a girlfriend for almost 4 years. Sheesh, I really need to do a better job on my tech entrepreneur research.
