A short recap of my favorite gadgets from the Consumer Electronics Show.
3D FOR ME?
As I’ve stated ad nauseam, 3D is the new wave when it comes to television sets and entertainment. Unfortunately, I’m still not all that bullish on the concept of having to wear those cumbersome, often dorky glasses. I tried to make a video on the best 3D products, but unfortunately, much to my chagrin it fell short. Most of the notable awards went to Panasonic’s 3D plasma television set, but I’m still not sold on it. To me, the only way I see people adapting to 3D television is if they create a screen where you don’t have to wear glasses. With that, I’ll let you see my very short video of 3D products that caused me to pause and take note.
Another mind boggling projector - this time it attaches to your phone!
My interview with Avner Ronen, the CEO of Boxee.
CES 2010!
CES (The Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas will always be a momentous occasion for me because it marks the anniversary of my leap (two years ago) from cubical life to pursuing my passion - technology and gadgets. Each year brings new innovations that cause me to rethink the way we use lifestyle technology. I’m posting TMI Weekly’s recap of CES 2009, in hopes that this year’s product launches will be even more compelling.
New year, new websites - here are my favorite websites of 2009!

My favorite iPhone apps to arm yourself with on a date. ENJOY!
Julia and I had the most incredible experience shooting a video for LA’s Midway Car Rental. The director on this shoot is a complete and utter talent by integrating a slew of Internet memes into the commercial. Please do me a favor and Digg this, so more people can see his amazing work.
Websites. Websites. Websites.
Every year, I like to make a list of the best ones (it’s strangely cathartic). This year, I have a list of 30, but really need to narrow it down to a solid 10.
Maybe you can help me out with this. What are your favorite websites for 2009? Why?
My other online crush is on lifestyle technology expert, Omar Wasow. Here’s a little video of Omar giving me some holiday tech advice at Bank of America’s “Shop, Save & Be (Tech) Savvy” Event.
In this week’s episode of TMI Weekly, the girls and I interviewed Michael Fertik, founder of Reputation Defender.com. Reputation Defender is a website, that does just that - defends your online reputation. I’ve written about Reputation Defender in the past, as a way to clear any unflattering search results off the web. It was a fascinating interview, merely because of how useful the service is in this searchable world of ours.
I know, I know, I could probably use a little Reputation Defender. Unfortunately, the standard monthly fee doesn’t apply to those of us with a long lineage of “Google-able” material (argh!). For those of you with a normal array of online material, I encourage you to sign up for Reputation Defender’s free monthly trial offer by entering the code: TMI Weekly.
Feel free to email me (Meghan@Nonsociety), as I’d love to hear about your experience with the service.
Has this ever happened to you?
